During our 2026 launch, Individual and Apprentice Membership applications are temporarily limited to current APP members while we complete the CPPA's independent membership process. Studio and Associate Memberships are open to all eligible applicants.
Individual Member
For professional piercers actively working within a professional studio environment.
2026 Eligbility:

Minimum 2 years professional piercing experience

Agreement to CPPA Code of Ethics

Completion of the Individual Membership Application

Current member of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP)

Apprentice Member
For apprentices and individuals currently training to become professional piercers.

Proof of active apprenticeship and mentorship

Currently apprenticing under an APP member

Studio Member
For studios committed to professionalism, safer piercing practices, and supporting the
advancement of the industry.
Requirements:

Studio walkthrough submission required

Agreement to CPPA standards and professional expectations

Demonstrate commitment to safer piercing practices

Associate Member
For individuals and organizations who support the advancement of professional piercing, including jewelry manufacturers, suppliers, educators, healthcare professionals, studio managers, front-of-house professionals, jewelry specialists, and other industry partners.
